I got to hear all the funny things that happened and I miss camp all over again!

(though there was someone that had to get backboarded at the pool, glad that was not on my watch)

If not, grab a group of people campers! Only words and names that have two of the same letters next to each other can go through the green glass door, but don’t tell them!! So a kitten can go through, but not a cat. Boots can, but shoes can’t. Just keep naming some, and let them guess.  A good hint is asking them what the words green, glass, and door have in common. See the faces light up when they get it!

Today was day three of cub scout camping. We had archery rotation today which made S very happy as he loves it. He’s also pretty good, hitting the target each time. We also did cooking, free time swimming and a lot of “Lord of the Flies” style boy play in the woods during rest time. Since the boys can now all whittle with their knives they spend a lot of time making sharpened spears from all the wood around which they then use in games of “Prisoners and Spies.” It’s interesting how quickly boys turn to games of war. All in all a wonderfully fun day!
